This Q&A options this 12 months’s recipient, Christina Kerkenpass, a veterinary pupil on the Free College of Berlin, who participated in this system and carried out analysis within the lab of Dr. Cindy Leifer, professor of immunology.
What motivated you to use to this program?
I grew up in Germany on my household’s dairy farm. The shut contact I had with the animals impressed me to turn into a medical-technical laboratory assistant. Throughout my coaching I discovered so much about hematology, microbiology, histology and scientific chemistry. However then I went on to do human heart problems analysis for 4 years. Though I loved working within the lab, I retained a love for veterinary medication and determined to pursue veterinary medication in Berlin. I’ll graduate in March 2023. I stay very thinking about analysis, and I actively attempt to steadiness scientific and fundamental science programs in my research.
